Kids chandeliers, Brass Chandeliers, Modern Chandeliers, Antique Brass Chandelier and more…
Artist Stuart Haygarth started a project in 2004 that is sure to delight many fans of crystal chandeliers, brass chandeliers, and well, chandeliers in general. Especially those who are environmentally friendly. Haygarth has been a long-time collector of “banal and overlooked objects” and through his chandelier project, decided to give them a new significance. He created several innovative and eye-catching chandeliers from things like found glass lamps, coastal and tide debris, and even prescription glasses. The results are stunning and not to mention, a brilliant use of green-design.
For example, the Tide Chandelier, is made of debris that washed up on a specific British coastline in the Kent area. The objects dangle on monofilament lines, are clear, translucent and primarily made from plastic. Each object is totally different in terms of shape and purpose, but when put together, they form one solitary sphere, and their colors play off of each other as if they were designed for this harmonious project.
