Simple Tips on Buying Crystal Chandeliers

We have discussed in previous posts how to find the crystal chandelier appropriate for the room. There are some general tips that you can follow if you know you want a chandelier but you are not one hundred percent sure where you want to put it.

Lighting a room can be a complicated process. Modern and traditional lighting have different effects on how they highlight aspects of the room. One thing you will need to consider is that crystal chandeliers are a major source of light for a room. They not only will provide ample light, they reflect it in several directions. If you have a room where you want mood lighting to affect the way we view the decor, then you don’t want lights to conflict the focal point. Use lights in tandem. Keep the crystal chandelier in a spot that won’t counteract another light, such as a lamp. This will add dramatic effect.

Crystal chandeliers can add a warm glow or direct light. You will have to view the design and shape of the chandelier to determine if it will be soft or harsh lighting. A warm glow is nice in dining rooms and bedrooms. Direct light is more useful for studies, living rooms, and foyers. But of course, the choice is yours… so choose wisely!!
